GIIS continues to encourage students to participate in Community Action Service (CAS) programmes and GIVE back programmes which are administered on a professional basis.
GIIS Schools have established linkages with old age homes, dyslexic associations etc. in various countries and GIIS students are required to complete minimum 30 hours of CAS service.
In 2008, GIIS Singapore students participated in the Singapore President’s Charity challenge on a very enthusiastic basis and created records in donations. GIIS students from Nursery to Standard 12, collected over S$40,000 in just 5 days.
They also participated in the LIVE fundraising event of President’s Challenge on Singapore’s Channel 5 TV station and with their scintillating 3 performances, wowed the national audience and helped raised another S$50,000 through dial-in donations.
