GLOBAL INDIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL congratulates Ms. Apoorva Sachdeva on being the worldwide topper in the recently held International Baccalaureate 2008 board exams. Apoorva scored 100% in her board exams scoring 45 out of 45 in IB grades.
Not only was her perfect IB score an achievement, she became the first individual to also score a 100% score in SAT2 2008 exam, scoring 2400 out of 2400.
Apoorva’s achievement won her a FULL 4 year scholarship to study Electronics and Computer Science at the University of California (Berkley) .
Apoorva was also a scholarship recipient having the prestigious GIIS - Bank of India (Singapore) Scholarship in 2006 & 2007.
Apoorva is grateful to her teachers and Alma mater – the Global Indian international school – for her historic success. Apoorva is now pursuing her undergraduate degree in USA at the University of California, Berkley.
According to Apoorva, “Both GIIS and the IB Programme curriculum have been instrumental in making my last two years of schooling thoroughly enjoyable and enriching. There was always something new and creative happening at GIIS in terms of house competitions, club activities, CAS activities, etc that kept all of us grossly involved and on our toes. The school provided me with a lot of opportunities for personal development and gave me a platform to express myself, learn new things, meet new people, be more confident and strengthen my bonds with friends and teachers. I believe that the teachers at GIIS make it more enriching and interesting by putting their heart and soul into the Programme.”

Kiran was the school topper in Global Indian International School Queenstown branch in the Central Board of Secondary Education exams held in Mar 2008.
Kiran was the 2nd highest scorer in the SAT2 exam scoring 2390 out of 2400 in the SAT2 exam held in 2008. Kiran is now pursuing a 4 year degree course in National University of Singapore.
