Q1. Why are the GIF Scholarships offered?
A. The GIF scholarships are Merit-cum-Need scholarships, awarded to meritorious students across Asia.
Q2. How many scholarships will be awarded each year?
A. GIIS awards upto 20 scholarships each academic year. The scholarships cover 100% of tuition fees.
Q3. When does GIF award these Scholarships?
A. GIF awards scholarships before commencement of the academic years. Scholarship announcements are made in various countries 3 months prior to the commencement of academic year.
Q4. What is the selection criteria for the scholarship?
A. Students who are 90% or above achievers, are eligible for the scholarship. Selection of students is based on their extraordinary performances in academics and/or ECA or CCA.
Q5. What are the scholarship categories?
A. There are 3 categories of Scholarships awarded 1) for outstanding academic achievements 2) outstanding sports achievements and 3) merit-cum-means scholarships.
Q6. How do I apply?
A. Email your scholarship applications to the Principal of the GIIS school you are interested in, with attachments of previous years marksheets, birth certificate, other certificates and specify the reasons why you would like to apply for the scholarship.
Q7. Are there any scholarships for sports achievers?
A. Yes, outstanding sports achievers may be considered for tuition scholarships.
