G Balasubramanian, Member, Advisory Board Mr. Balasubramanian is Chief Mentor ( Academics) for Global Indian International Schools in Asia. Mr. G Balasubramanian is well known as the Director Academics (1997-2006) for the India’ Central Board of Secondary Education. G Balasubramanian joined the Central Board of Secondary Education as a Joint Secretary in 1984 and has worked in several capacities in Academics, Examination, Confidential and Administration branches of CBSE. Elevated to the Post of Director (Academic) in 1997, he held the additional charge of the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Board. He retired from the services of the Board on 28th Feb, 2006.
Known for his innovation in curriculum development and interactive pedagogy, he has been instrumental to the introduction of several innovations in curriculum in CBSE which include Frontline curriculum, Communicative Approach to Language Teaching, Information Technology, Bio-technology, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Studies, Disaster Management, Life Skill Education, Alternatives to Homework among others. He is a strong advocate of Stress-free education and has initiated several steps in this direction. He has fashioned himself as a premier Teacher trainer and in ushering change management in schools. |

Laurie Ince, Member, Advisory Board Laurie has worked as Regional Manager with the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) from 2003 for the IB Diploma Programme in Asia Pacific. During this time, the International Baccalaureate experienced unprecedented growth, not only in the number of authorized schools but also in the general acceptability at the tertiary level in Asian, as well as the influence it brought to bear on educational systems through out the region. |

Dr. M P Chhaya, Member Advisory Board, Global Indian Foundation Dr. Chhaya was Director, Education of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and formal Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School in New Delhi for over 15 years, Educational advisor to NCERT, NEPA, and Educational Ministry. Dr. Chhaya was closely involved in the Navodya Vidyalaya project initiated by Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, and has been Director of Chinmaya Mission’s 65 Schools throughout India. Dr. Chhaya has authored several books including Effective Principals and authors bimonthly newsletters which are read by over 600 principals and teachers. |

Prof. Mukul Asher, Member, Advisory Board Prof. Mukul Asher is with the Lee Kuan Yew Institute of Public Policy, at the National University of Singapore. Prof Mukul joins IISM Academic Advisory Board as a Member.
Dr Asher has taught or researched in Australia, Malaysia, Sweden, India and the USA. He has held Visiting Positions at several institutions, including with the Fiscal Affairs department of The International Monetary Fund, and Harvard Institute for International Development. He specializes in public finances of developing countries, social security arrangements in Asia and economic co-operation among nations. |

Dr. A H Kalro, Member, Advisory Board, Ph.D. (Minnesota), former Director, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Dr. Amarlal H Kalro, is presently Director, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He was earlier Professor at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Prof. Kalro obtained his B.Tech.(Hons.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1963, and his MS and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA in 1967 and 1969 respectively. He was on the faculty of the University of Minnesota and joined Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in August 1970. |

Dr Vijay P Bhatkar is the founder Executive Director of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) which is India’s national initiative in Supercomputing where he led the development of PARAM Supercomputers, GIST language technology and C-DAC’s well-known Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS).
He is credited with the creation of several national institutions including the Electronics Research & Development Centre (ER&DC), Trivandrum – India’s largest R&D Centre in application oriented R&D in electronics; the ETH Research Laboratory, Pune for launching Education-To-Home mission and the International Institute of Information Technology I2IT, Pune – India’s largest Post-Graduate Institute for advanced education in IT. He has served as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet of Government of India. He was conferred with the Padmashri award in 2000, one of the highest civilian recognitions by the Government of India.
