 |
 | I would like to congratulate the Global Indian Foundation on the 5th anniversary of the school and wish all the best to the students, teachers and Board in providing great education for children in our community.
Helen Clarke Prime Minister of New Zealand | | | | Keep up India’s ideals - tolerance of those who are different, co-operation, hardwork and creativity!
I wish you all success.
Mr. Shashi Tharoor Former Under Secretary General United Nations, New York | | | | I would like to commend the Global Indian International Schools (GIIS) on the official opening of its third campus in Singapore. This new campus, located at Balestier, is well equipped with facilities conducive to helping children at GIIS develop intellectually and physically, and in the aesthetics. It is a much needed addition to GIIS, which has become the largest international school in Singapore in terms of student numbers.
GIIS in Singapore has shown remarkable growth, from just 48 students at the Mount Sophia campus, to its current size. This achievement is tribute to the efforts of the Global Indian Foundation (GIF) which has also done much to promote Indian culture in fine arts, music and dance. I would also like to commend the Indian expatriate community in Singapore for its initiative and spirit in helping realise the aim of building a school that caters to the needs of their children.
The international schools, together with the Singapore Government-funded school sector, provide an attractive array of options for students from all countries. By most objective reckonings, they provide an all-round education as well as rigorous academic learning that is amongst the best internationally. I am glad GIIS has enriched and expanded this landscape.
Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the teachers and staff of the GIIS, who have worked extremely hard to make the school what it is today. My heartiest congratulations go out to everyone connected to the GIIS on the official opening of your Balestier campus.
H.E. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam Minister of Finance Republic of Singapore | | | | I would like to congratulate the Global Indian Foundation for the excellent work you are doing and the significant growth in your group. I hope the foundation will continue to build on its strengths and forge even stronger bonds between the Indian diaspora and the resident communities in their host countries.
Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports | | | | I am happy to be associated with the Global Indian Foundation.
The foundation has so far lived up to its mission of providing high quality international and Indian education at very affordable rates around the world. From its modest beginnings in Singapore, Global Indian International School now successfully operates in several countries including Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, India and Japan. I am quite hopeful that the foundation will continue creating institutions with the highest educational standards and consequently producing some of the best leaders of the future.
I wish the foundation a wonderful journey ahead.
N. R. Narayana Murthy Chairman and Chief Mentor | | | | I extend my warmest congratulations to the Global Indian International School (GIIS) on the auspicious occasion of the official opening of its Balestier campus. The opening of GIIS’s third campus in Singapore in the short time since GIIS first came to Singapore underscores its commitment to education.
The first GIIS campus was set up in 2002 by the Global Indian Foundation to provide education to the Indian Diaspora in Singapore and Asia. In six short years, the institution has grown from providing education to just 48 students in its first school, to 17,000 students in 14 schools across 7 countries in Asia. GIIS’ emphasis on a well-rounded educational syllabus that encompasses academic teaching as well as cultural and social education will provide a solid foundation for students to meet the challenges in the global marketplace in the future.
Singapore welcomes Indian nationals and their families to work, live and study in Singapore. When people-to-people linkages between India and Singapore deepen, the overall bilateral relationship is fortified.
I wish GIIS more success.
H.E. Mr. Zainul Abidin Rasheed Senior Minister Of State (Foreign Affairs) Republic of Singapore | | | | I had the pleasure of participating in the official opening of the GIIS Kuala Lumpur campus in August 2006. Since then, the Global Indian Foundation has worked hard to expand its coverage to 14 schools in the Asia-Pacific region: including in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and New Zealand. It is very encouraging to note that Indian Diaspora is opting for the Indian CBSE education in foreign countries, thus reinforcing the views concerning the high standard of CBSE education.
I congratulate the Global Indian International Schools and the Foundation for bringing opportunities for such excellent education for the people of the Indian Diaspora around the world. My heartiest congratulations to Prof. M.G.K. Menon, under whose leadership the Foundation has been growing from strength to strength.
I extend my best wishes and heartiest congratulations to all the teachers, students and their parents, and the management on the official opening of the GIIS Balestier campus in Singapore.
Vayalar Ravi Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India | | | | I am delighted to know that the Global Indian International School will be opening its third campus in Balestier in Singapore. In a short period the GIIS Centres have established a reputation for academic excellence and have met the needs of the growing Indian diaspora in a number of countries. The establishment and successful functioning of these schools reflect the new directions of 21st Century India and the ways in which India seeks to engage other nations and international communities.
These schools provide education to children of Indian origin and students of over 27 different nationalities. The emphasis on the cultural aspects of Indian civilization has enabled the schools to develop students, who can be proud of their cultural roots yet be citizens of the world. The attempt to develop the Global Indian of the future some one who would stand on the strong foundations drawn from the ancient civilization of India, yet be educated in modern ways, is commendable.
Ambika Soni Minister of Tourism & Culture Government of India | | | | Personality Development is a very strategic skill that any Global citizen should have. I am pleased with the approach and focus the Global Indian International School has undertaken in this respect through Personality and Speech & Drama development programmes. Our students would thus emerge more communicative, articulate and expressive and would truly represent the Global Indians.
Ms. Shabana Azmi Member, Advisory Board Global Indian Foundation | | | | We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to the Global Indian International School (GIIS) to our Pathumthani Province. Supasom Company initiates GIIS in corroboration of the Global Indian Foundation, a non-profit organization devoting to youth educational development. GIIS pioneer the International Indian Education System for the local international communities in Thailand.
Most of all, the Global Indian Foundation has informed us of their intention to cooperate with the Pathumthani Province in introducing the Indian CBSE Curriculum to the education public in Thailand, to help supporting the Thai education reform to commemorate His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej on His 80th Anniversary, on the 5th of December this year.
Mr. Mekin Methavikul Governor of Pathumthani Province | | | | I am pleased to know that Global Indian Foundation in Singapore has made tremendous progress under the leadership of late Dr. LM Singhvi and through schools, the foundation is reaching out to the large and growing Indian Diaspora in Asia.
Dr. Abhishek Singhvi Eminent Jurist, Member of Parliament, India National Spokesperson, Congress, India | | | | I am glad that the Global Indian International School, Singapore has expanded to its third campus in a short time frame of six years. GIIS has been working very closely with the Queenstown community and has contributed significantly through the offering of various programmes such as Yoga classes. I am sure the school and the Global Indian Foundation will continue their untiring efforts as an integrated member of the Queenstown community.
I wish GIIS all the very best on the Official Opening of its Balestier Campus.
Mr. Baey Yam Keng Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC Republic of Singapore | | | | I still remember being involved when the first campus started in Singapore with only a few hundred students and since then GIIS has come a long way and today, we have grown to our third campus in Singapore as we are serving a very large community of over 150,000 Indian professionals and blue collar workers, the single largest concentration of Indian expatriates in South East Asia.
Education is a key consideration for expatriates when relocating their families to Singapore and with schools like the non-profit based Global Indian International School setup by the Singapore based Global Indian Foundation, we make Singapore an ideal place for expats to relocate. In a way therefore, GIIS schools have complimented the various initiatives of the Singapore Government to attract more Indian expatriates to Singapore and make them feel at home.
In addition to education, GIIS Schools have played an increasingly important role in supporting the current strong bilateral ties between Singapore & India. Being a prominent member of the Singapore community, GIIS has helped bring Singaporeans and expatriates on a common platform through various cultural initiatives and programmes.
The Global Indian Foundation & Global Indian International Schools are set to continue to play important roles in Singapore by basing their worldwide headquarters in Singapore as part of EDB’s Global Schoolhouse project. We hope to be able to help contribute towards further strengthening of bilateral ties between India and Singapore through the GIIS and the Foundation. Mr. Inderjit Singh Member of Parliament Governing Board Member, Global Indian Foundation (Singapore)
| | | | Although a relative new comer, the Global Indian International School has exceeded in offering good educational programmes to Indian expatriate children in Singapore. I am also happy to note that your campuses have been linking up with the local community.
You have provided an important service to enable more investors and professionals from India to come to Singapore. I can feel the vibrancy of the students, professionalism of the staff, and support of the parents whenever I visit your campuses.
On the occasion of the Official Opening of your 3rd campus in Singapore, I wish the Global Indian International School all the best. Continue to assure the quality of your programmes as well as the support of the community, and the best is yet to come.
Mr. Chan Soo Sen Member of Parliament for Joo Chiat, Republic of Singapore | | | | It is my great privilege today to meet the members of Global Indian Foundation. I have had the pleasure and privilege of going to see the school which has been established in Auckland and I am excited by their concept both for the New Zealand community but in particular for the Indian community.
For me it is also of great interest as this is the formative period of the school being set up and certainly it’s my hope to contribute to the work that you are doing for the children.
Dr. Richard Worth Member, Advisory Board Global Indian International School, New Zealand | | | | The Global Indian International School in Yokohama, will be opened in April 2008. On 26th of October last year, Mr. Atul Temurnikar, the Chairman of GIF, and I, concluded the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the opening of GIIS in Yokohama in 2008. I remember the day as if it was yesterday.
Since the opening of Yokohama Port in 1859, exchanges of people, culture and goods from countries all around the world have fostered the city's enterprising and open-minded character to become an international city. As one of Japan's largest cities with a population of 3.6 million, our growth continues today. Yokohama offers everything required in an urban business environment – an extremely convenient rail and road transportation network, talented people, located near the vast Tokyo metropolitan market, as well as an abundantly green living environment.
Along with some of the higher level corporate location incentive programs in Japan, Yokohama also offers a diverse menu of corporate investment assistance schemes. India's leading IT companies such as Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro have established their Japanese operation in Yokohama.
I anticipate that the opening of Global Indian International School in Yokohama will support the fast-growing Indian companies to develop their business in Yokohama. The GIIS Yokohama will be opened in the pleasant living environment area in the northern part of the city. Furthermore, the new school will utilize the building of a closed down municipal elementary school, therefore gym, grounds and other school facilities can be used immediately.
I hope many children will enjoy their school life in Yokohama.
Hiroshi Nakada Mayor, City of Yokohama | | | | The Singapore based Global Indian Foundation is an outstanding community effort of the Pravasi Bharatiyas in Asia.
The foundation vision of “Nurturing Global Citizens” as outlined by its founding president Dr. L.M. Singhvi has become an integral and core necessity of the border less societies of the world. Its focus on spreading “Culture of Peace” initiated by Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari is a very timely and crucial initiative for the benefit of our future generations.
The Global Indian International Schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Japan and New Zealand are providing world class Indian education to the children of our pravasi bharatiyas and the Global Indian Cultural Centres are helping to preserve and reinforce the rich values of our vibrant Indian culture.
Since its inception in 2002, the Global Indian Foundation and its schools have brought significant benefits to the Indian Diaspora as well as citizens of various countries. It has carefully integrated with the social fabric of various countries and this is evident from the fact that Singaporeans are learning Yoga at your centres, Malaysian and Japanese students are attending your schools and the Thai students are attending your cultural centres for value education.
I am delighted to hear that GIIS schools are promoting “Gandhian Values and Thoughts” through its Mahatma Gandhi Centres and these very values are a cornerstone for religious harmony and peace.
Ambassador, Dr. Abid Hussain Chairman, ICECC (India China Economic and Cultural Council) Member, Presidium of Patrons Global Indian Foundation | | | | In a very short period, the school has established a reputation for academic excellence and has displayed an ability to meet the schooling requirements of the growing Indian community in Singapore. The establishment and functioning of this school reflects new directions of India's growth and the many ways in which we now seek to engage other societies. The cultural centre of the school adds to its dimensions of service in Singapore and provides a forum for both Indians and other nationalities to acquaint themselves with our culture.
Dr. S. Jaishankar High Commissioner of India, Singapore | | | | It gives me great pleasure to learn that the Global Indian International School (GIIS), has been established in Bangkok. GIIS Thailand would provide a unique opportunity to aspiring students to choose from CBSE, British and IB curricula. I am sure that the school will also provide for all-round development of personality for its students.
I am happy that the Indian and other international communities in Bangkok have wholeheartedly welcomed the opening of the Global Indian International School. The establishment of GIIS in Bangkok fulfils the longstanding need of the Indian communities for a school with CBSE system. GIIS Thailand is a welcome addition to the International Schools in Bangkok.
On behalf of the Indian Embassy, and on my own behalf, I wish the students, parents, teachers and the School Management every success in their endeavour.
Latha Reddy Embassy of India, Bangkok | | | | My warmest congratulations to the GIIS on the opening of its third campus in Singapore. This is a strong testament to the vibrant and enduring cultural and multifaceted linkages between Singapore and India.
Being the largest international school in Singapore, the GIIS has made significant contributions to the development of Singapore as a premier international education hub.
We are proud to be a partner to the continuing success of the GIIS.
H.E. Mr. Calvin Eu High Commissioner Singapore High Commission in India | | | | I am happy to be associated with the foundation's work in Japan for over a year. I have seen the activities of the foundation in the realm of education, culture and community relations grow impressively in this period.
We now have schools in Edogawa and Kofu and it is expected that by 2008 we will have a school in Yokohama. Thanks to the warm support received from the Mayor of that city the dynamic Mr. Nakada.
Apart from running these schools which have a fair number of Japanese children, apart from the Indians, the Foundation has also worked through the Cultural Centres to popularise various aspects of Indian traditions. Thses activities have enabled the foundation to establish a broad network with the local Japanese community. In this sense the foundation has helped in the task of promoting a better relationship between India and Japan.
I wish every success to the organization, the dedicated teachers that we are proud to have with us and above all to the talented children who come to us for assistance in the noble task of pursuing knowledge.
Aftab Seth Chairman GIF, Japan | | | | I wish to join thousands of others in conveying my heartiest congratulations to Global Indian Foundation on its 5th anniversary. This Foundation has done great work not only in providing education to thousands of children but in trying to connect communities together in many countries in South East Asia and beyond.
The rapid growth of the GIIS in Singapore and many countries of the region is indicative of the quality of their education and the fact that they are filling in the gap which was needed in this part of the world.
H.E. Sajjad Ashraf High Commissioner of Pakistan, Singapore | | | | It gives me great pleasure to extend my heartiest congratulations on the auspicious occasion of the 5th anniversary of Global Indian Foundation.
The Foundation has been in the forefront in promoting the cause of Indian culture and languages and providing quality education at its schools in the Asia Pacific region which not only benefit the Indian expatriate families but also the local communities in the respective countries.
I would like to compliment Mr. Atul Temurnikar, chairman of Global Indian Foundation and his committee members for their excellent work and take this opportunity to wish the Foundation continued growth and success in many years ahead.
Dr. Hari N. Harilela Member, Presidium of Patrons Global Indian Foundation | | | | The Singapore based Global Indian Foundation has grown remarkably during the past 6 years. It was the vision of the Indian Diaspora to have good quality schools for their children on an affordable basis, and the vision could not have been better achieved than by the Global Indian Foundation and the Global Indian International Schools.
The GIIS schools have added 7 more CBSE schools and perhaps for the first time in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Japan, taking the total number of countries offering CBSE education to 26. The GlIS schools are doing excellent work in amalgamating the high standards of CBSE education with skills based activity development. This is particularly important in ensuring the child gets a holistic development in all areas.
As GIIS CBSE schools have been making inroads in various Asian countries, CBSE too has been introducing special subjects such as the Bahasa Malay language as 2nd language for Malaysian and Indonesian students, Japanese for the Japanese students etc.
To enable the overseas students from non-CBSE schools to join the CBSE programme for medium or high schools, CBSE has announced the introduction of South East Asian Social studies so that the students can join the CBSE programme midway. I am delighted to hear that GIIS schools are promoting Gandhian values and thoughts through its Mahatma Gandhi centres as these very values are a cornerstone for religiousharmony and peace.
My heartiest congratulations to Prof. M.G.K. Menon (GIF President), Justice C.S. Dharmadhikari, Mr. Chandu Borde, Mr. Atul Temurnikar and Mr. Shailesh Temurnikar, for the outstanding community foundation they have nurtured for the Indian Diaspora. It is very heartening to know that the Global Indian International School is officially opening its GIIS Balestier campus, its 3rd school in Singapore and 14th school across Asia.
Mr. Ashok Ganguly Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education, India | | | | I wish to congratulate the Global Indian Foundation for giving exemplary 5 years of quality education to the Indian diaspora in South East Asia. The school education and cultural institution that the foundation has created will be long valued by the entire Indian community in many countries and I wish the foundation many more years of excellence ahead.
I also hope that the ‘tribal school’ initiative of Global Indian Foundation in Gujarat will benefit some of the less advantaged back home, who will soon acquire tools, content and other education services available through children to children networking. I also hope that creativity, collaboration and compassion will be enhanced through such interactions.
Prof. Anil Gupta Vice Chairman IIM Ahmedabad | | | | The Global Indian International Schools have greatly benefitted expatriates in the region, as they provide continuity in education for their children.
As a member of the Advisory Board of Global Indian International Schools, it is extremely satisfying to note that many Malaysian paremts have embraced the ideals and principles of our school, which successfully integrates the best of the Indian curriculum with local requirements.
I have been approached by many for advice on admission to GIIS- Kaula Lumpur, which in itself bears testimony to the reputation it has established within such a short span of time.
Ralph Marshall Member, Advisory Board Global Indian International School, Malaysia | | | | In Japan, GIIS have achieved considerable progress in last one year. GIIS in Japan has provided a new avenue for learning in a crosss cultural environment, which does have a big impact on children's life and careers. GIIS is now operational for last 1.5 years only, but in this short span school has secured very good attention from the expatriate and local community in Japan. Such education institutes are pivotal in building healthy relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
In this short span school authorities have connected very well with all the stake holders. School has constantly shown improvement based on feedback from stakeholders. This has resulted in huge success, which is evident by the school being established at Kofu and facility being planned in Yokohama.
Due to this sincere effort of contributing to society through education, school has always received full hearted support of our company and local government. GIIS operations in Japan will go long way in facilitating the new relationship building between Japan and India.
Masahiko Kaji President, Tata Consultancy Services Japan Ltd | | | | I found that the concept of the Global Indian Foundation is really a unique and innovative one. A great success story and to think that in 5 years, we have got 12 schools, 17000 students and so many innovative features. The idea of compulsory yoga and teaching Sanskrit is really great because it helps to ensure the continuation of our own Indian culture.
Mr. Ashok Soota Chairman, Mindtree Consulting, USA Member, Advisory Board, Global Indian Foundation | | | | I wish to congratulate both the Foundation as well as the School on their 5th anniversary. Five years may appear short in terms of education and presence in Singapore but this after all was just a start. In 5 years, Foundation has managed to establish two schools in Singapore and number of schools in other parts of the world. Both in terms of the speed with which they have been able to set up and institutions that are recognized for high quality education speaks well for the foundation. And for the two schools in Singapore and the other schools in the region, I see a very bright future.
What the Foundation and the School are doing in Singapore ties in perfectly with Singapore’s attempt to be a hub for education in this part of the world. Education is important as an integral part of Singapore’s attempts to attract human capital to be based in Singapore because we feel this is the only way to attract and keep people of high caliber from all over the world, and India today is an important provider of human capital not only to Singapore but to other parts of the world.
Mr. Satpal Khattar Chairman, Khattar Holdings, Singapore Member, Advisory Board Global Indian International School, Singapore | | | | I am very proud to see that the GIIS Malaysia has exceeded expectations of the Malaysian public. Many people including the people from the Government have asked me about this new school.
Dato Mohd. Hussin Bin Abd. Hamid Director, Exim Bank, Malaysia Member, Advisory Board Global Indian International School, Malaysia | | | | On behalf of the 170,000 people living in Midori Ward, I would like to express my hearty welcome to the new Global Indian International School (GIIS) in Yokohama next April.
Taking the opportunity of the opening of GIIS, I hope the exchange among citizens, as well as between Japan and India will be deepened.
Lastly, best wishes for the success in the future activities of GIF .
Mr. Kazutoshi Makino Director General of Midori Ward City of Yokohama, Japan | | | | Children of the school, I am very happy to have visited your school and I feel so happy to look at your twinkling eyes and your smiling faces and I will ask you to keep on smiling all the time. We have inaugurated the statue of one of the greatest leaders of humanity - that is Mahatma Gandhi. A time will come and people will realize what a truly great man he was and I want to leave with you his teaching. I want you to bear witness to it in deeds of daily living. One day he addressed a meeting of students and he said to them, “You are not truly dressed... if you want to be truly dressed, then your face should wear a smile.” So keep on smiling all the while.
Dada J.P. Vaswani Head, Sadhu Vaswani Foundation | | | | With the encouragement of the Government, Global Indian International School (GIIS) is privileged to have joined several other leading educational institutions to establish a presence in Singapore. GIIS has gained recognition and reputation both within Singapore and internationally with its offering of niche Indian education apart from IB and GCE (Cambridge) programmes.
As GIIS continues to expand in Singapore and beyond, GIIS offers a unique advantage for the young to understand and appreciate living in a multi-cultural and multi-racial environment. In this way, its students will be better equipped to cope with challenges of growing globalisation.
Mr. Boon Yoon Chiang Vice Chairman, Jardine Matheson Holdings, Asia Member, GIIS Advisory Board | | | | It is gratifying to note that the Global Indian Foundation is organizing Global Indian Harmony Programme at Singapore. It is indeed a laudable task to assemble teachers, students, educationists and others for a Global Harmony programme.
My son Master R. Shivakkanth is a student of GIIS R.S.K. Higher Secondary School and I am one of the proud parents of this prestigious institution. Like all the parents of students of this school, I am extremely happy about my son’s education. I wish the Global Indian Harmony programme a grand success.
I. RAJA, IPS Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, Trichy | | | | I am happy to learn that the Global Indian Foundation is celebrating its Fifth Anniversary celebrations. It is remarkable to note that within this short span of time the Foundation has made significant strides to impart quality education in its schools to the Indian Diaspora and other foreign nationals.
In a globalized world with its gateways of knowledge wide open across borders, there is increasing demand for current knowledge that would bring with it relevant and contemporary competencies. The curriculum has also to integrate strong value components that would empower the learners with life skills, emotional intelligence and multiple intelligences.
I am happy to note that the curriculum and pedagogy of the schools under the foundation addresses all these relevant issues, focusing on the holistic development of the learners.
I am confident that the schools under the foundation would make an indelible mark in the global educational map with their sustained efforts.
Mr. G. Balasubramanian Former Director (Academics), CBSE Director (Academics), Global Indian Foundation | | | | Global Indian Foundation, Singapore, took over the management of R.S. Krishnan Higher Secondary School on the campus of BHEL Township, Tiruchirappalli, India, with effect from April 2006. Since then, the school has taken a positive kink towards professionalism. The performance of the students academically and in all other respects has been very encouraging. I have been discussing with the principal, Mr P. Varadarajan regularly about the various changes and innovations that he brought about in the school. I had a chance to discuss with a cross section of the parents of the students of the school, and I have found them to be quite happy about the progress of their wards in RSK.
Mr. R. N. MISRA Executive Director Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Trichy, India | | | | I am impressed with the ethos and operational policies of the Global Indian Foundation in providing excellent academics and good quality education together with character development based on universal values in a multi-cultural environment. Keep up the good work and may god bless these efforts in creating young global human beings who I believe will make a difference to the world.
Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria Member, Advisory Board Global Indian International School, Malaysia | | | | The promotion of Indian harmony across the globe is a praiseworthy move for further development of the Indian diaspora which has made its impact across the oceans in many fields of achievement.
Mother A Mangalam President, The Pure Life Society, Malaysia | | | | We live in a globalized economic World. The children of today will be global citizens striding an international platform. India will be a major player in this changing era. GIF’s commitment to cultural and racial diversity is contributing greatly to the process of education and preparing students for their roles in an increasingly complex economic society.
Ms. Joyce Shankaran Addl. Chief Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Government of Maharashtra, India | | | | The rapid expansion of the Global Indian International School (GIIS) in Singapore, resulting in the opening of its third campus at Balestier, is testimony to two compelling developments. First, the unparalleled popularity of the GIIS, its staff, curriculum and pedagogy among parents and students alike. Second, the open-door policy of the Singapore government in attracting talent from all parts of the world, based on capability and merit. These have combined to bring success to GIIS.
I wish GIIS a bright future, and hope that it will do its best to continue the noble task of preparing young people for a future of dynamic change.
Mr. N. Varaprasad CEO, National Library Board, Republic of Singapore | | | | All our Global Indian International Schools have a curriculum which is the sum total of a large number of experiences that each of our schools provides to the child in order to achieve the goal of total development of its personality.
Our curriculum consists of both formal learning experiences provided through teaching of different subjects and non-formal learning experiences provided in the form of a variety of activities carried out outside the classroom. It is important for us to realize that a judicious development of both formal and non-formal types of experiences provided to the child should result in COMPLETE EDUCATION.
Our Global Indian Foundation is going to complete 5 years and I am quite sure our GIIS students must be experiencing ‘Complete Education’. Continue the march on this road.
Dr. M.P. Chhaya Member, Governing Board, Global Indian Foundation | | | | I am delighted the Global Indian Foundation is celebrating their 5th anniversary on 20th Oct 2007 at the GLOBAL INDIAN HARMONY 2007.
As a patron of the GIF, I am more than pleased with GIF’s initiatives in setting up Global Indian International School in Kuala Lumpur. In a short span of time the school has carved a name for excellence in the Malaysian education sector. The school brings invaluable strength of Mathematics and Science beyond the shores of India.
The foundation’s untiring work in setting up schools and cultural centres around the world and in inculcating Indian values and tradition, has benefited people in all walks of life and I am sure this good work will be carried on in more parts of world, so as to benefit more people.
I am proud to be the Patron of an organization that is doing excellent work in education at the global level.
