Mahatma Gandhi Global Indian Eklavya School

The Mahatma Gandhi Global Indian Eklavya School is a tribal school situated in Western India's  tribal area at Tilakwada, about 65 km from Baroda in the State of Gujarat. The school was a result of a suggestion given personally by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, requesting GSF to do undertake education in the remotest part of India.

The Late Dr LM Singhvi (Founding President of GSF), Prof. MGK Menon (Present President of GSF) and Justice C S Dharmadhikari (Vice President of the GSF) decided to take the Tilakwada tribal school as a concept to bring in education excellence to the tribal students.

The school is a joint initiative of the Singapore based Global Indian Foundation and Government of Gujarat. The school is fully funded by the state & central government.
